My name is Brian Smothers.  I'm currently serving 16 to life at London Correctional Institution.  That's London, OH, not England.  I've been down almost 6 1/2 years now, having spent almost 5 years fighting in my county.  I'm currently working on my appeal.

I"m looking for someone to correspond with, maybe talk to, and if there's a connection possibly meet in the future.  I try to be a patient and understanding person.  I try to stay positive and upbeat, but on my down days it would be nice to have someone who can lift my spirits just as I would hope to do for them.

This is my first time in prison.  Before this the only trouble I'd been in was 33 days in county on a weed ticket and a couple of overnights for drunk in public.

I worked as a machinist on the Northside of Cincinnati before being locked up.  I'm a father of 3 fantastic children who are my world and that I miss more than words can express.  I enjoy movies, music, cooking, walking and poetry.  I've even been known to spin a yarn or two.

I'm 6' tall, medium to large build, shaved head, and tattoos all of which I got b efore prison.
