Hello, my name is Derrick Fultz Jr. and I'm 36 years old. I've been convicted of child abuse, but before you shy away in disgusted, I want to say that I whole-heartedly and truly love all my children and I would do anything for all of them. I always have and I always will and nothing in this world, not even this conviction will deter me from loving my babies.

I am an Afghan/Iragi war veteran and my journey has been a rough one. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and other mental health disabilities. Growing up, I had a mother who was addicted to alcohol and had ovarian cancer. She passed when I was 23 and my father was abusive and we don't have a genuine relationship anymore. On the bright side, my mother was told that she would not be able to have any children and here I am. Glory be to God.

My whole life, I've been a devoted Christian and without a shadow of a doubt, I know my Lord and Savior is Jesus Christ. The good Lord has taught me a plethora of life lessons on this walk with Him and through it all, I am totally grateful. I wake up each morning He wills for me to have, and give Him my first fruits of the day with my time, and love for Him before I start my day that He blesses me to have.

I've done five years, and haven't heard from my family, but I still love them all, with all my heart and I forgive them.

Lastly, just receiving a letter will make my heart leap for joy and if you're willing to forgive, give second chances and are willing to choose to walk this journey alongside me, then I would love to hear from you.
