I would like to first state my crime does not define who I am. It was an accident and a result of a mental breakdown. Considering having been raised in the foster care system, dealing with all kinds of abuse, I came out quite well.

I was adopted by a family who didn't understand me and didn't believe in mental health. My friends however knew me to be funny, upbeat and a great person to talk to and be around. I am still that person even though prison has been tough without any outside support. I spend my time helping others and share my story with others in hopes that other inmates will learn from my experience and stay out of prison.

I am seeking someone to write to or talk to who could relate or to just conversate with.
