Hello! My name is Drew. I love to read all kinds of books and to write mostly poetry. I like walking outside - I love nature and have a great appreciation for beauty. I practice mindfulness and meditation to maintain a good state of mind. I've actually become much calmer and positive over the years. It helps that I have so much support from family and am grateful for them.

The Plunge (After a passage from Don Quixote)
Dive into the murky waters, Far away from the sun.
In the depths, a miracle occurs:
I learn to breathe anew.
Do not be afraid of the plunge,
Let the dark surround you -
Something beautiful awaits in the deep

At Eternity's Gate (After the movie of the same name)
I had a vision of being had:
Colors erupted into flames,
Valkyries spoke in ancient tongues;
A remembrance of things past,
A knowledge of things to come.
From behind a sacred portal, the piper's call - Eternity beckons to its excited son.
